Doyon Logistics Services was notified in August 2013 by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC), that the company was awarded a contract entitled N44255-13-C-4004, Industrial Controls Systems Upgrades “Smart Energy”, Various Buildings at Naval Station Everett WA, at a value of $4,424,100.00. Burgess and Niple, NCS Corporation, and Blythe Mechanical played key roles as exclusive team members in winning this 2-phase, Best Value proposal.
This project consists of the repair and/or replacement of existing electronic building controllers and sensors, installation of IT systems and equipment at designated network access points, software programming to optimize data collection, and other related supporting work. Controllers at each facility will be integrated into the existing Naval Regional Northwest Industrial Control System (NRNW ICS) for the purpose of data collection to improve energy, water, and maintenance services and to reduce long term costs. Project locations include several buildings at Naval Station Everett WA, Smokey Point in Marysville WA, Pacific Beach WA, and Jim Creek in Arlington WA. This is a key, strategic win for DGG and for DLS, as it continues our push into the energy sector, provides a long term presence on several Northwest Navy bases, and provides visibility and the opportunity for future similar work.
