Brent S. Meisner

Brent Miesner, Doyon Government Group, Vice President and General Manager of Doyon Government Group and President of Cherokee General Contractors

Brent Meisner is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Doyon Government Group (DGG), and President of Cherokee General Corporation (both subsidiaries of Doyon, Limited). With over 30 years of service as a contractor to the Federal Government, Brent is demonstrating the experience and skills necessary to lead DGG confidently into the future.

 Following a tour in the Marine Corps, Brent entered private industry and began to develop a series of small disadvantaged businesses into larger, more prosperous firms. He successfully developed working relationships with most major defense organizations, and their Contracting Officers soon knew him on a first name basis. Projects at the time included:

Currently, Brent has developed DGG and its subsidiaries in the Homeland Security-Immigration Customs Enforcement Detention field with $297,311,108.00 in new competitive contracts, which employ 960 personnel in Florida and Texas. Our Army Armed Guards contract, located in Alaska, California, Washington, and Hawaii, employs 460 personnel under a $126 million competitive contract. We also have several security contracts that support DOT, DHS-USCG, and USACE. In addition, DGG’s construction group (Doyon Project Services and Cherokee General) now has over $85 million in Small Business and 8(a) competitive projects in the United States.

The foundation of Brent’s success is an appreciation of diversity, and the synergy that results when combining those of different backgrounds and skills. With this credo, his ability to assemble the high level management and substantial support teams necessary to fulfill our contracts, yet simultaneously deliver personal attention, is the cornerstone of the man and the organization he leads.
