DMS wins first $10M IDIQ contract from the Coast Guard

Doyon Management Services (DMS) was notified on November 26th, 2013 by the U.S. Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit – Oakland that the company will be awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement entitled “Pilot Program for Competitive Actions under the 8(a) Program”. The IDIQ contract will include emergency repairs and minor construction work in the states of Oregon and Washington. This is an IDIQ for a three year base period and two option years with a $10 Million overall capacity. Task Orders will range in size up to $3 Million each. This is another substantial win for DGG as it is the first multi-year IDIQ contract awarded to DMS. This is also a great opportunity to secure additional Task Order work for the Construction Group in the Northwest over the next five years.

The anticipated work for this contract includes a variety of renovation and repair services, including: design-build services, on-site design solutions, interior and exterior renovations, erecting fences and shelters, ramps, sidewalks, and other concrete work, installation of utilities, pipelines, and conduits, installation of electrical and mechanical devices, roof repairs, demolition, environmental remediation, and asphalt work, painting, ceiling repairs and modifications, floating dock/waterside alterations and repairs, waterline repairs, electric power line and communication line repairs, interior building repairs, and HVAC and Mechanical repairs.

Doyon Project Services and BCRA win Gold Award at SAME

same1At the recent October 2013 Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Awards banquet in Seattle, Doyon Project Services (DPS) and BCRA won the Gold Award for Best Design of 2012. SAME awarded Doyon Project Services and BCRA the award for the Design/Build effort on the Warriors in Transition (WIT) Administration and Soldiers Family Assistance Center (SFAC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. This is a new 67,100 SF facility accommodating a Large SFAC and Battalion Headquarters (BnHQ) on the main floor while four (4) Large Company Headquarters groups (CoHQ) occupy the second and third floors.  DPS and BCRA also achieved the prestigious LEED Gold rating for the facility.

DLS wins $49,500,000 USACE Tulsa MATOC award

Doyon Logistics Services (DLS) was notified in late September 2013 by the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) that the company was awarded a contract entitled Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for Construction/Design-Build Services in Support of Various Military, Civil Woks, and International and Interagency Support (IIS) Projects within Southwest Division (SWD) Boundaries and for Tulsa District Customers. The IDIQ MATOC contract will include a variety of tasks primarily for Tulsa District customers but may encompass work in other states covered by the geographic region included in the Southwestern Division Boundaries including Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. This is an IDIQ MATOC for one base year and two option years, for an amount not to exceed $49,500,000 over the life of the contract.  This MATOC win is another important win for DLS and is opportunity to win task order work in the Central Region over the next three years – against only two other competitors.

DLS and our teaming partner, Burgess and Niple, will provide design and construction services to include renovation, repairs and alterations, preventative maintenance, and operations support activities. These task orders are not only intended to execute new construction, design-build, and design-bid-build projects, but to provide a timely response to the renovation of real and personal property facilities.  The work includes project work such as maintenance, repair and minor construction relating to civil, mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), instrumentation, anti-terrorism force protection (ATFP) and other related  construction and renovation activities.

DLS Wins $188,000,000 Air Force Medical MATOC Award

Doyon Logistics Services (DLS) was notified in September 2013 by the Little Rock District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that the company was awarded a contract entitled, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award Task Order Contract for Design-Build Construction and Initial Outfitting Services in Support of the U.S. Air Force Medical Service.  The IDIQ MATOC contract will include a variety of tasks in the Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Worldwide. This is an IDIQ MATOC for a two base year and three option years, for an amount not to exceed $188,000,000 over the life of the contract.  We’re still awaiting notification of the initial seed project award to either DLS or one of the other two MATOC awardees.  There’s no indication when that announcement will be made. This MATOC win is a substantial win for DGG and for DLS, since it gives DLS an opportunity to win work Worldwide over the next five years.

Under this contract, DLS and our teaming partners Hoefer Wysocki Architects (HWA), gkkworks, and MILHOT will design, construct, and outfit new or newly renovated medical and health care facilities.  Work to be performed under this contract includes design-build, repair, alteration, and restoration to modernize clinics, hospitals, administrative buildings, healthcare facilities, warehouses, veterinary clinics, ancillary facilities, and wellness centers.

DLS Selected for Navy’s “Smart Energy” program

Doyon Logistics Services was notified in August 2013 by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC), that the company was awarded a contract entitled N44255-13-C-4004, Industrial Controls Systems Upgrades “Smart Energy”, Various Buildings at Naval Station Everett WA, at a value of $4,424,100.00.  Burgess and Niple, NCS Corporation, and Blythe Mechanical played key roles as exclusive team members in winning this 2-phase, Best Value proposal.

This project consists of the repair and/or replacement of existing electronic building controllers and sensors, installation of IT systems and equipment at designated network access points, software programming to optimize data collection, and other related supporting work. Controllers at each facility will be integrated into the existing Naval Regional Northwest Industrial Control System (NRNW ICS) for the purpose of data collection to improve energy, water, and maintenance services and to reduce long term costs.  Project locations include several buildings at Naval Station Everett WA, Smokey Point in Marysville WA, Pacific Beach WA, and Jim Creek in Arlington WA. This is a key, strategic win for DGG and for DLS, as it continues our push into the energy sector, provides a long term presence on several Northwest Navy bases, and provides visibility and the opportunity for future similar work.

Warriors in Transition Barracks, HVAC Retrofit, JBLM, WA Award

Doyon Management Services (DMS) was notified in August 2013 by the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, that the company was awarded a contract entitled W912DW-13-B-0005, Warriors In Transition (WIT) Barracks HVAC Retrofit at a value of $2,991,400.  This barracks facility is adjacent to our newly constructed Warriors in Transition Facility that DPS recently completed with an Outstanding rating.  This new project consists of providing and installing air conditioning to the two (2) 4-story Barracks Buildings, which are capable of housing over 400 military personnel.  DMS will also be installing a Chiller Pump Building, Chiller Enclosure, and minor civil and landscaping scopes of work within a 270 day project duration.  This is a substantial win for DGG and for DMS, as it provides another opportunity to continue our success with the USACE at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).

Cherokee wins $49,000,000 Horizontal MATOC from USACE Seattle District

Cherokee General Corporation (CGC) was  notified in August 2013 by the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, that the company will be awarded a contract entitled W912DW-13-R-0006, Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for various Design Build projects and Horizontal Construction Work.  The contract will include a variety of tasks in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and elsewhere within the USACE Northwest Division. This is an IDIQ MATOC for one base year and four option years, for an amount not to exceed $49,000,000 over the life of the contract.  This win is a substantial win for DGG and for Cherokee, given our home office capabilities to support future project work.

DMS American Mechanical JV awarded design build contract for new Fire Station at Eielson AFB by USACE Alaska District.

DMS American Mechanical JV (DMS American JV) was notified in July 2013 by the Department of the Army, U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska that the DMS American JV was awarded Contract No.W911KB-13-C-0016 for $10,248,304, entitled EIE348, Design/Build Repair Fire Station, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.  The DMS American JV is a Joint Venture between Doyon Management Services and American Mechanical, Inc., a highly regarded Fairbanks firm.  The team also includes design partners BCRA from Tacoma and BCE Engineers from Fife.

This one year project consists of the complete design and construction of the repairs needed for Fire Station #1 at Eielson Air Force Base.  The major elements of work include the demolition of existing interior structures, mechanical, and electrical systems, and the construction of new interior living quarters, equipment and vehicle areas, partitions, windows, roofing, doors and finishes.  New mechanical, fire protection and electrical systems will be installed as well as a new vehicle exhaust system in the large apparatus bay.
