Warriors in Transition Barracks, HVAC Retrofit, JBLM, WA Award

Doyon Management Services (DMS) was notified in August 2013 by the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, that the company was awarded a contract entitled W912DW-13-B-0005, Warriors In Transition (WIT) Barracks HVAC Retrofit at a value of $2,991,400.  This barracks facility is adjacent to our newly constructed Warriors in Transition Facility that DPS recently completed with an Outstanding rating.  This new project consists of providing and installing air conditioning to the two (2) 4-story Barracks Buildings, which are capable of housing over 400 military personnel.  DMS will also be installing a Chiller Pump Building, Chiller Enclosure, and minor civil and landscaping scopes of work within a 270 day project duration.  This is a substantial win for DGG and for DMS, as it provides another opportunity to continue our success with the USACE at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).

DMS American Mechanical JV awarded design build contract for new Fire Station at Eielson AFB by USACE Alaska District.

DMS American Mechanical JV (DMS American JV) was notified in July 2013 by the Department of the Army, U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska that the DMS American JV was awarded Contract No.W911KB-13-C-0016 for $10,248,304, entitled EIE348, Design/Build Repair Fire Station, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.  The DMS American JV is a Joint Venture between Doyon Management Services and American Mechanical, Inc., a highly regarded Fairbanks firm.  The team also includes design partners BCRA from Tacoma and BCE Engineers from Fife.

This one year project consists of the complete design and construction of the repairs needed for Fire Station #1 at Eielson Air Force Base.  The major elements of work include the demolition of existing interior structures, mechanical, and electrical systems, and the construction of new interior living quarters, equipment and vehicle areas, partitions, windows, roofing, doors and finishes.  New mechanical, fire protection and electrical systems will be installed as well as a new vehicle exhaust system in the large apparatus bay.
