NOAA Weather Field Office Project, Hogback, OR – $63K

Doyon Technical Services was awarded a $63K contract to remove and relocate the Naval Weapons Station Conex building and propane tank. The current location of the building is roughly 50 feet outside of the government property. Doyon will disconnect all utilities, relocate the Conex building, and then reconnect all utilities, except the propane, within the new government property site. The project is scheduled for a 100-day turnaround.

U.S. Coast Guard Lead Paint Abatement, Alki, WA – $27K

Doyon Technical Services was awarded a $27K contract to remove lead-based paint in the interior basement staircase at the US Coast Guard’s Alki Point Housing Quarters B. Doyon will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other services necessary to perform the lead abatement project.

USACE District of Columbia National Guard (DCNG) Armory Windows Replacement Project, Washington D.C. – $778K

Doyon Technical Services won a $778K contract to provide construction services to replace 109 windows that support 588,094 SF at the DCNG in Washington, DC. Since the armory was constructed in 1941, the project initially includes the removal and disposal of the Art Moderne style cast-iron windows. This involves the testing and elimination of PCB containing caulk, asbestos abatement, and lead abatement. Doyon has also been charged with the removal of all window shades/blinds and the installation or re-installation of new and/or existing window treatments, including window shades, curtains, and blinds.

Because these are designated historic windows, Doyon will provide customized manufactured windows which replicate the material, profile, dimensions, operability, and light configuration of the originals. Likewise, all distinctive features, finishes and construction techniques that characterized the historic property will be strictly required and followed during the installations.

NOAA Sentinel of the Coast Structure, Dauphin Island, AL – $762K

USACE Baltimore District Laboratory, Forest Glen, MD – $924K

Doyon Technical Services was awarded a $924K contract to design and renovate an existing laboratory space within the Joint Pathology Center’s Forest Glen Annex to create an enclosed hospital-type clinical lab area that contains a new fume hood, sink, furniture, etc. The area where the renovation will take place is an active laboratory space. Coordination with ongoing operations is essential to avoid noisy, vibration intense activities during construction.  This work will be done afterhours and on weekends.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Building 1724 Renovation, Fort Pickett, VA -$1.8M

Doyon Technical Services was awarded a $1.8M contract to restore, renovate and modernize a military berthing facility, NSWG-2, Building 1724 at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The building is an unoccupied two-story, wooden structure (approximately 5,300 SF). It requires demolition of some existing interior materials and the addition of new plumbing, flooring, doors, electrical, mechanical, and other work to make the building fully operational and code compliant for use as a transient berthing facility for military personnel.

FEMA Region 10 Federal Regional Center Loading Dock Enclosure Installation, Bothell, WA – $194K

Doyon Technical Services was awarded a $194K contract by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 10 to design-build a loading dock enclosure for the FEMA Federal Regional Center in Bothell, Washington. DTS is providing the labor, parts and materials for the design and construction of a secure and weather resistant enclosure, including non-insulated corrugated metal panels to match the existing building exterior, new insultation panels on the existing metal ceiling, framework, and structural elements to support new panels and equipment, and two personnel doors with panic bar and lockset hardware. The project also includes the installation of a 10’ x 10’ motorized roll up door at the existing loading zone, extensive HVAC and electrical hardware, and lighted emergency egress signage — all as required by code.

USACE Demo and Site Repairs, Humphrey’s Engineering Center, Alexandria, VA – $1.0M

Doyon Technical Services (DTS) was awarded a Sole Source 8(a) engineering and construction contract by the USACE, Baltimore District for the demolition of a subsurface concrete structure and above-grade perimeter fence removal at the Humphreys Engineer Center Support, Activity (HECSA) in Alexandria, VA.  DTS’ scope of work includes the removal and offsite disposal of a buried concrete slab, perimeter chain link fence, and a 46-foot hill to be removed and graded.  DTS remove the buried structures and all earthwork spoils, as well as any construction waste, debris, or organic material encountered. The site will be backfilled, the soil will be compacted, and the site will be graded in compliance with all erosion and sediment control and stormwater management requirements, then DTS will provide vegetative stabilization on the site to complete the project.

NOAA Design-Build NWS Nashville Weather Forecast Office Repair/Replace Masonry, Old Hickory, TN – $281K

Doyon Technical Services will be providing Design-Build Services for The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Weather Services on this 180-calendar day project to replace the exterior masonry on it’s Nashville, Tennessee Weather Forecast Office. This project includes removing and reinstalling camera’s, gutters, and other items mounted to the exterior, reseal storefront doors, windows, and metal louvers, and maintaining access to the facility at all times.
