Cherokee General Corporation was awarded this $1.6M project with the Bureau of Indian Affairs to Demolish the former Sanostee Boarding School in Sanostee, NM. Cherokee demolished the buildings and elevated water tanks associated with the former Sanostee School and removed utilities lines (water lines, sewer lines, electrical conduit, gas lines, & propane lines) that were no longer in use. Cherokee also removed all hazardous materials before the demolition and to properly dispose of both hazardous and non-hazardous demolition materials. The project was a green demolition project where 75% of the materials was recycled or reused.
